Refer to the program guide, which can be picked up in the JCC lobby, or click here.

Photography and Digital Media Classes at the JCC are open to the public.

To register for a class, contact registration at 646-505-5708.

The JCC program guide lists classes by the level of experience required. Beginner courses are for those who have no photography or digital experience; Intermediate courses are for those who are proficient with their cameras and/or have some darkroom/computer experience; Advanced courses are for those who have extensive experience and want to achieve a level of mastery.

We recommend that you do. Your instructor will help transfer your skills from a PC to a Mac.

Students are required to provide their own cameras, film, paper, and CD’s for all classes. Specific guidelines will be distributed during the first class session.

Always bring your camera, manuals, and any photographs that you want to share to your first class. Check your confirmation letter for additional notes or information. Students will be notified in advance, if there is anything additional to bring to the first day of class.

Students may have assignments outside of class, i.e., shoot photos on their own to bring to class. Some courses do not require work outside of class.

Class size varies. There are usually no more than 12 students per class and mostly run with fewer students. Students will receive personal attention from the instructor.

Become a TA or department intern. Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the JCC photography community.
